Service Number ‘65630’ – Royal Army Medical Corps, 104th  Field Amb

Killed in action on 4th October 1918 aged 20 at an Advanced Dressing Station together with two comrades. He was killed by a shell whilst working at an advanced Dressing Station

Buried at Zantvoorde British Cemetery in Belgium.

Son of Thomas And Augusta Elkins of Mapletree   Lane, Mill Green, Ingatestone.

Private Elkins was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field in August 1918.
